May 9th Mineral to Charlottesville ,Virginia 64 miles

Today's ride was eye candy. We had a fair amount of wind and more and more hills as we approached Charlottesville and the Blue Ridge Mt's. The horse farms and the plantations and many of the older homes we passed and towns were just a delight to see.We passed Monticello on our way into Charlottesville.We have and off day on June 10th.Our first stop is Monticello, then UVA Campus. We are staying at the Hampton Inn just across the street from UVA. Today's weather was in the 6o-65 degree range and windy, but the moving country history made it our best day so far.Till next time bike Ted
